Batangas State University (BatStateU), through its Center for Sustainable Development, facilitated the draft presentation of the “BatStateU Policy Guidelines for Sustainable Development” on November 25, 2022. The event was held at the Seminar Room, 5th Floor of the SSC II Building, BatStateU-Pablo Borbon Campus.

The initiative aligns with the university’s commitment to sustainability and supports the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Faculty members and personnel specializing in key university functions contributed to drafting policies in three areas: environmental sustainability, sustainable community support, and an inclusive academic and workplace environment.

University President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo led the event, joined by Vice President for Administration and Finance Atty. Luzviminda C. Rosales, Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension Services Engr. Albertson D. Amante, Vice President for Development and External Affairs, and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Charmaine Rose I. Triviño. The presentation was facilitated by Sustainability Development Officer Dr. Vaberlie P. Mandane-Garcia.

The proposed policies underwent review by university officials and will be consolidated for approval by the Admin Council and the University Board of Regents.
