In light of the celebration of BatStateU-The NEU’s 120th founding anniversary, the Office of the Culture and Arts conducted a 4-day art hybrid event consisting of art talk and exhibit featuring some of the famous artists in the Philippines. The event, dubbed as “Dangal”, serves as a platform for artists to display their artworks and talk about their creative process and inspiration. Among the invited guests are Frederick Epistola, visual artist, Manny Garibay, award-winning painter and Gabriel Malvar, executive director and producer. The art talk offered a chance for the Fine Arts students of BatStateU to learn about different art styles, techniques, and historical contexts, and to deepen their appreciation for the arts. The event also inspired discussions and debates about art, culture, and society, and encouraged students to reflect on their own beliefs and values.

“The artworks carry a lifetime of profound significance thereby sending impact not just in the present but also in the future”, said Mr. Luther Jose O. Eroa, Head, Culture and Arts of BatStateU-Alangilan when asked about concepts of art and sustainability.
