Academic affairs stakeholders convened on September 27, 2024, for “Usapang Sustainability” Session 3, addressing the integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the academic curriculum. The session, attended by 25 key figures including the Vice President for Academic Affairs, and College Deans, focused on identifying relevant SDGs, aligning them with UNESCO Learning Objectives, and developing effective integration strategies. Participants acknowledged challenges such as the absence of a standardized framework, inconsistent implementation, varying faculty motivation, and concerns regarding inclusivity and assessment. To overcome these hurdles, recommendations were made to share existing frameworks, map UNESCO competencies to courses, engage faculty through relevant frameworks and training, and prioritize integration in policies, content, delivery, and assessment. The stakeholders also emphasized the need for custom evaluation tools aligned with specific objectives, and the gathering of feedback from graduates.
