Conference Methodology

LICAS 2026 adopts a multi-modal scholarly engagement model designed to maximize knowledge generation, networking, and actionable outcomes.

  • Full Paper Presentation (15-minute presentation + 5-minute Q&A)
For completed research with empirical or theoretical findings. Presentations should clearly articulate objectives, methodology, results, and policy or institutional implications aligned with sustainability and SDG advancement.

  • Poster Presentation
For ongoing studies, pilot projects, or early-stage innovations. Posters will be presented during dedicated networking sessions designed to foster scholarly exchange and collaborative development.

  • Panel Discussion Presentations
Thematically grouped presentations followed by a moderated open forum. Panels are designed to stimulate interdisciplinary dialogue and multi-stakeholder perspectives on pressing sustainability issues.

Plenary Topics:

Wisdom in Practice: Centering Indigenous and Local Knowledge Systems.

  • The plenary session will advocate for inclusive conservation by integrating indigenous knowledge, ethical research practices, and community-led approaches into institutional frameworks.

Science to Solutions: Accelerating Innovation for Biodiversity

  • This session highlights the role of research, emerging technologies (AI, remote sensing), and transdisciplinary innovation in solving complex biodiversity challenges.

  • Internationally recognized keynote speakers from academia, government, international organizations, and the private sector will share insights on emerging global trends, policy directions, and transformative innovations in sustainability and higher education.

  • Plenary dialogues will be organized to challenge conventional perspectives, stimulate critical reflection, and provoke meaningful institutional discussions on the evolving role of universities in advancing sustainable development.

The conference will organize space where partners can present their flagship research programs, innovations, and initiatives through dedicated booths during the conference, providing opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange, and potential partnerships.

ICSRI 2026 will be held in a Hybrid Format (In-Person + Virtual), ensuring maximum global participation regardless of geographic or financial constraints. Full virtual attendance options will carry the same publication and networking benefits as in-person attendance.

ICSRI will feature different tour packages that will not only showcase the province’s cultural heritage and natural beauty but also immerse the participants in sustainable tourism.  Activities such as tree planting, weaving, etc will be included as part of the tour.
