Join researchers, educators, policymakers, practitioners, and students at Batangas State University for this landmark hybrid conference on Date. With less than five years until the 2030 deadline, the UN SDGs Report 2025 reveals critically slow progress despite gains in education, healthcare, renewable energy, and digital access.
HEIs stand at the forefront through their research and innovation mandates, generating evidence-based solutions, scalable technologies, and social models that accelerate SDG attainment.
Global progress toward the 17 Sustainable Development Goals remains uneven. While there have been important improvements in education, healthcare, renewable energy, and digital access, millions of people continue to face poverty, hunger, inequality, and the impacts of climate change. The SDGs Report 2025 highlights that current efforts are not yet sufficient to fully achieve the 2030 targets.
Higher education institutions stand at the center of this challenge. Beyond delivering instruction, HEIs train current and future teachers, update curricula, introduce innovative pedagogies, promote core values, and drive research and innovation. Through evidence-based research and scalable technologies and social models, HEIs can significantly accelerate SDG attainment.
In response, the Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) and the Research Office are organizing this international conference to provide a strategic platform for sustainability-focused research and innovation. By fostering collaboration among HEIs and partners, the conference aims to generate practical and impactful solutions that support a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable future.
Organized by: Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) & Research Office, Batangas State University
